hi enchanty

i am pleased your card reading is getting good, when you draw the single card dont try to place it in the past, now or the future, it wont work with the one card, this exercise is to get your interpritations of the cards sorted,

now what you can do for a spread is, (this is the one i tend to use all the time) you can also read it down or diagonally
3cards for the present,
3 cards for the future
3 cards for the outcome,
lay them like this

# # # PRESENT

# # # FUTURE

# # # OUTCOME

So now you can read 3 at a time together, ok my dear, keep up the good work, and let me know how you get on

xx

Good on you DA! :D

I think I am going to better now! If all fails I will become a magician and do tricks with them! I am reading Derren Browns book, Tricks of the mind at the mo, and its mad - very witty!

Thanks for the tips Ishana, I will keep going!

You did, I was refering to the bit before, the single card and how I see it, not what the book says ;)

Just wanted to give quick update on Tarot. I think the pack I am using is frustating me - I am getting some meaning from the cards but they contain so many tiny icons and are so based on astronomy that they are, in fact, doing my head in! (no other way to explain!). :?

I have a telescope and a great interest in astronomy, but need something more earth based for readings.

I think, as in all the other things I am doing, I am going to keep it simple. The tree magick cards on the tree website that Pandora posted are lovely, so something like that might be more my thing!

Will keep you posted, any suggestions welcome! I will check out the other tarot threads too.

Like I said, I just can't get my head around tarot at all.

have you given any thought to runes or oghams?

My favorite divination deck is definately the Well Worn Path cards (there are only 40, so it easier to remember things and they are beautiful to look at too, just nice and simple)

I use Runes and really love them. Always get very accurate readings, think it is the simplicity of them that works so well.

Haven't tried Oghams though. What are they? Will check them out. :D

Have joined the thread about Tarot packs. I love the well worn path ones.
More my cup of tea. :D

(on a different thread, I loved the self dedication you put on from the Cottage witchery book. I am really going to have to get this book! everything so far you have posted from it has been right up my street - so big thank you!)
